INTRODUCTION | |
First of all, I want to thank Eric Öhman,
who came up with the idea. I'm not in any way trying to outsmart him by
giving out this guide, I merely want to inform you about another way to
make the MX3000 lens wider. |
|
STEP 1 | |
This is what you need: - Raynox MX3000 lens (duh!) - Raynox HD-4500 Pro lens - Some 58 mm filters (what kind of filters doesn't matter, as you will take out the glass anyway) - Glue |
|
STEP 2 | |
Deattach the small internal lens from the Raynox
HD4500 pro lens, by taking off the lock ring. ![]() |
|
STEP 3 | |
Take one of the 58 mm filters, take out the glass och
place the small lens inside it. Carefully put glue on the edge, using
super glue or glue especially made for metal. |
|
STEP 4 | |
attach the filter to the Raynox MX3000 lens |
|
STEP 5 | |
You may want to add some extra filters, to adjust the distance between the camera and the lens. This makes the view even wider. But don't use to many, as you may get vignetting.
|
|
STEP 6 | |
That's it! You might also need a step ring, depending
on what camera you're using. |
|
TIPS | |
Remember to always keep everything clean. Use products tailor made for lens cleaning. GOOD LUCK!
